Popular F-150 Gets a Chinese Look-Alike

The Ford F-150 is the American brand's best-selling vehicle. It's also the second-best selling vehicle in the world of all-time. So, it's not surprising that another auto company would want to capitalize on that success. We just didn't think any would go this far. Jianghai Auto Corporation is planning to launch a new 4R3 pickup truck at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show in April, and it reportedly looks almost identical to the Ford pickup.

Please, Chevrolet, there's no reason to get so upset. We're sure most of our readers watched the Super Bowl this Sunday, and, if you did, you might have seen Chevy's Silverado advertisement. The commercial depicts an apocalypse with three survivors, all of which are conveniently driving Chevrolet vehicles. When one of the survivors asks where his other friend Dave is, he receives the response, "Dave didn't drive the longest- lasting, most dependable truck on the road. Dave drove a Ford."1 Despite the fact that GM has been anything but apologetic about the commercial, here at Steve Marsh Ford we aren't offended. Why, you may ask? Because we know the facts, and Ford has no reason to worry.

Ford Taurus, Then & Now

The original Ford Taurus wasn't a boxy piece of metal when it came out in 1986, but a light, fiberglass car. It influenced many other companies to rethink vehicle design. Between 1986 and 2007, Ford has constructed 7,519,919 models. It has become the fifth best selling North American car in Ford's history; "only the F-150, Escort, Model T, and Mustang have sold more units...

The 2013 Ford Escape Comes with the Unexpected

All of the materials used to build Ford vehicles go through rigorous testing to prove that their quality and durability meet Ford standards. At Ford headquarters in Dearborn, MI, a new type of carpeting was put through a simulated five-years (or more) of wear to prove its strength. What's different about this carpet than what you'll find in previous-gen Ford models? It's made out of plastic bottles...

Ford Focuses on In-Car Health and Wellness Technology

Ford is no stranger to applying their technologies to problems outside of the car industry. In an effort to further distance itself from competitors, Ford is building technological services with the main goal of helping people manage their chronic diseases and disorders while traveling in a vehicle.

This isn't just a conceptual experiment either, Ford is so serious about bringing this technology to market that they recently attended the...
